Environment Canada is warning of wind gusts up to 80 km/h in parts Southwestern Ontario on Sunday afternoon. Wind gusts strong enough to bring down trees and cut off power.
The national weather agency has issued an advisory for the London region, which includes Strathroy, Komoka, Middlesex County and Strathroy.
Winds from the southwest will bring gusts of up 80 km/h but they are expected not to intensify until late in the evening.
Environment Canada stated that the Bruce Peninsula, Dundalk and Niagara Peninsula will be the hardest hit by the strongest gusts.
According to the weather agency wind power can cause tree branches to be snapped and isolated power outages. Also, visibility may be reduced by snow blowing on roads.
Environment Canada calls for sun and a high of 4C in London Sunday. Family Day will be cloudy with a high temperature of 6 C and 30% chance of drizzle.
