Was Revoluts’ e-money decision prompted in part by an unfriendly environment

Is the Central Bank of Ireland being too cautious and limiting innovation in the financial service sector? Or is it protecting the financial system, and thus the reputation of the United States, by doing what it is supposed?

It depends on who you talk to. Revolut may have resisted criticizing the Central Bank of Ireland for not using the e-money license recently granted by the regulator in order to serve Irish customers. But it is no secret that it isn’t its biggest fan.
