For example, Gen Zers and millennials are more open to giving up fossil fuels than older generations. Democrats across all demographics are more likely than Republicans to see climate change as a top priority. Only 82% of Democrats view climate change as a major threat. 16% of Republicans.
Even in Republican RegionsAlthough the extreme climate-related weather events such as droughts, fires and heat waves have caused widespread damage, scientists still believe that phasing out fossil energy is necessary for climate crisis mitigation.
