We honored two eco champions last year: Craig Hailes, Victoria Corcoran, and Craig Hailes.
The Zero Waste Award went to Tarbock Green’s Pets Country Manor. This five-star luxury cat hotel is licensed and licensed.

The Year’s New Green Business
This category is available to new businesses that have been in business for less than two years and started trading on or after January 1, 2019.
We want to hear about your business if it places the environment and wellbeing at the heart of its operations. Judges look for evidence of innovation, investment into new technologies, and excellent staff engagement. They also want to see evidence of the business’s impact on the community and environment.
Green Business of the Year
This award is only for businesses that have been in existence for at least two years.
We want to hear about your business if it places the environment and wellbeing at the heart of its operations. Judges will be looking to see evidence of innovation, investment and new technologies, excellent staff engagement, and the impact of your business on the community.
CSR Award
This award honors businesses that go above-and-beyond to show how they behave towards the environment, community, employees, stakeholders, and others. Judges will look for evidence of initiatives and projects. We want to know if your company has made a positive difference in the lives of others and the environment.
Healthy Living Award
This award recognizes projects that take notice of the environment and use it in order to improve the health and well-being of our community. Your project might have encouraged healthy eating habits or introduced exercise to others. Please tell us about your efforts to promote a healthy environment, body, and mind.
Community Impact Award
This award recognizes local communities that work together. We are interested in hearing about neighbourhood improvement projects, communities that make the most of green space, and neighbours working together to make their neighborhoods safer and more healthy.
Tell us about community projects and how they have helped you to connect with the environment around you to make positive changes.
Green School of The Year
This award is given to any Merseyside school that has taken an active, committed approach to putting the principles and practices of sustainability and healthy life into practice. We would love to hear about the initiatives your school has taken to be healthy and green.
Maybe your school has created an outdoor learning environment, a growing-your-own program, or perhaps the pupils have started a project to do community work. We would love to hear about your school’s efforts to create healthier environments and be more environmentally conscious.
Environmental Youth Award
This award is for either a team or a single young person under 18 years old. We are looking for budding environmentalists from Merseyside who are involved in green projects, or who encourage a healthy lifestyle.
We encourage nominations of young people who are involved in environmental activism through clubs and activities within their communities.
Environmental Champion

This award recognizes individuals or groups that have made outstanding environmental contributions. They could be a community hero, a businessperson, or a group of volunteers. Tell us about anyone you know that inspires others, regardless of their age.
The Circular Economy Award
Sponsored By Merseyside Waste AuthorityIn partnership Veolia
This award is open for all organizations that are using or developing a circular economic approach to the delivery or management of their organisation or projects. The winner of this award will show how it implements circular material flows. Additionally, you must provide evidence that the organisation or project is committed to reducing carbon and addressing climate crisis through resource efficacy.
The emphasis will be on the social value created by circular practices, such as supporting biodiversity, reducing water consumption, using local suppliers and creating green jobs, training and education, and working with academia.
