White House proposes to restore key parts of National Environmental Policy Act, in a move that reverses Trump

Trump’s rule made it clear that some activities and projects were subject to shorter environmental reviews while others were exempted completely. One of the most controversial changes was that agencies were instructed not to assess projects indirect and cumulative impacts, such a link between climate change and greenhouse gas emissions.
