Rep. Cathy Rodgers (Republican from Washington).Rep. Cathy Rodgers (R.Wa.), opened the hearing by giving an off-topic speech on inflation, COVID and current US president. She then asked about the potential for blockchain to protect citizens privacy and the potential adverse effect of regulation on investment and job growth. Annie Kuster (D.N.H.), asked about innovations that could be derived from bitcoin mining and help other industries.
