World Environment Center to Award 2022 Gold Medal for Corporate Sustainability to AB InBev

March 14, 2022 /3BLMedia/ – Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) will receive the 38th Gold Medal of International Corporate Achievement in Sustainable Development. Michel Doukeris, CEO at AB InBev will receive the Gold Medal Award in an in-person ceremony on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 at Washington, DCs Planet Word.

The Gold Medal Award is given annually to a company that has integrated sustainability into their business practices, provided innovative solutions to critical environmental or social challenges, and demonstrated global leadership in accelerating progress toward a sustainable world. A Gold Medal Jury, made up of internationally recognized sustainability experts, selects the Gold Medalist from among the nominated companies that applied for the Award.

The Gold Medal Jury chose AB InBev because of its strong sustainability record, ambitious commitments, focused ESG strategy, and shared prosperity across its value chains. The Jury recognized AB InBev’s ability to create impact beyond its operations through its 2025 Sustainability goals and ambition to achieve net-zero across its value chain by 2040. Its engagement with suppliers, business partners, and consumers to scale its impact. And its commitment to innovation through the award winning 100+ Accelerator Program.

Linda Fisher, former Vice-President & Chief Sustainability Officer at Dupont, is the Gold Medal Jury chair. She said that on behalf of the Jury, she would like to extend her sincere congratulations to AB InBev and its thoughtful approach towards sustainability. AB InBev has shown its commitment to renewable energy and water stewardship, smart farming, circular packaging, human rights, and smart agriculture.
