PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) â Energy production, specifically energy produced from traditional sources like coal and natural gas, continues to be one of the biggest contributors to carbon emissions on the planet. Global climate change, which is human-caused, is one of the largest contributors.

Nicole Hughes, Renewable Northwest Executive Director, joins the show this week to discuss the state of renewable energy development within our region, the potential pitfalls and the economic and socio-economic impact that carbon neutral energy creation could have on all of us.
