Southfield (CW50) –Airspace Link is a company offering drone operation planning tools. This allows drone pilots the ability to submit operations while flying in controlled aviation. The company is one seven FAA-approved companies that provide this service. The idea behind the company is to create a world where the safe integration of drones fuels human progress, advancing social equity, the environment, and the economy.
These pillars of equity, the environment and the economy are where the future of technology can be used. Access to infrastructure can hinder social equity. However, it is believed that the drone industry can provide high-paying jobs as commercial drone pilots as well as affordable delivery of critical services to people with limited mobility. The environment could be improved by implementing drone delivery within a single U.S. metro area. Drones can also improve and advance the economy in many areas, including package delivery, precision agriculture and manufacturing.
Airspace Link’s Air Hub is being used within the local and state government, as well as by drone pilots, businesses, and developers.
Michael Healander joins Jackie Paige on Community Connect to talk about the future of the “AirHub” and what drones can do for our communities as a whole.
The future of technology careers is in industries such as drone technology and digital infrastructure. These jobs will open doors to the future of the state and the rest of the world.
