Daktronics and Bowling Green State University have partnered to create, manufacture, and install 12 new LED signs throughout the Stroh Center in Ohio. This partnership will improve the game-day experience. Installation took place in 2021, to inform and entertain the audience at live events at this venue.
Daktronics is delighted to partner with Bowling Green State University to upgrade the technology in Stroh Center. This will allow for a new experience for fans. We are excited about increasing our content delivery on game day to engage our fans with a top-class digital display.
A new video display, measuring approximately 10.5 feet in height by 28 feet in width, is mounted at one end of the arena. It allows fans to see live video and replays from the stands. It can show one large image, or it can be divided into multiple zones to display any combination of digital content including graphics and animations and sponsorship messages.
A ribbon display measuring approximately 6.5 feet in height and 30 feet in length was installed along the seating fascia. Two vomitory displays, each measuring 2.5 feet high by 8 ft wide, were also installed above entrances to the seating bowl. These displays are used to provide additional information and highlight sponsors during events.
To deliver crisp, clear imagery for all four displays, they each have 5.9-millimeter pixel spacing.
These LED displays will bring an additional level of entertainment to Bowling Green State University students and others who attend special events at Stroh Center. To provide additional graphics and statistics during events, eight LED scorers table are located on the sidelines. Each digital table is approximately 2 feet high and 9 feet wide. It has 6-millimeter pixels spacing. These tables can be arranged in any configuration, with Bowling Green State University aiming to have five on one side and three on the other for maximum visibility to their audience.
Complete the equipment installation in the arena with shot clocks, light strips, locker clocks, and an adjustable scoreboard.
Daktronics will be including its Show Control solution in this installation. This system combines display control software, video processing and data integration to create a user-friendly production tool.
Daktronics Creative Services will also install the equipment. Bowling Green State University will receive a content package.
