Christmas Day might be spent by the fireside with hot chocolate.
Environment Canada predicts a drop in temperatures for Christmas Day after a few days of mild weather in the southeast.
“Christmas does look quite cold,” said meteorologist Terri Lang. “And it’ll keep cold probably all of the next week into January.”
With snow expected on Wednesday and into Thursday, Lang also reminded people to be cautious when driving to see family and friends on Christmas Eve on Friday.
She said that Christmas Eve will be blustery due to the snow coming through. “There might be some difficult driving there, especially on Christmas Eve.
The snow system that will move through on Wednesday and early Thursday could bring about five centimetres to the Estevan area.
