Adder Develops New Desktop Multi-Viewer for Control Room, Mission Critical Environments

Adder Technology announces its new desktop multi-viewer KVM Switch, the ADDERView-MV 4224. The multi-viewer switch is part of Adders award-winning Command and Control portfolio and allows users total control. It delivers up to four different video and audio signals to a single workstation using a user-definable window layout across one or more monitors. The ADDERView CCSMV 4224 offers flexibility and choice in even the most challenging workspace environments.

The ADDERView CCS MV 4224 is designed to eliminate desktop clutter and present critical information in a controlled room environment. The new multi-viewer switch from Adders allows users to have complete control over the resources they need, at the time they need them in 4K UHD resolution.

“Users can also unleash the enhanced power of the ADDERView CCS-MV 4224 capabilities when used with an ADDERLink INFINITY IP KVM matrix,” says Martin Norman, senior product manager, at Adder. “By connecting the multi-viewer to four receivers attached to a network switch in a matrix, organizations can access any sources on that network and switch between them no matter where they are located; onsite, remote, or virtualized. Users can also mix local inputs and high-performance KVM receivers attached via a matrix network switch to increase flexibility and choice in implementation.

The multi-viewer switch is designed with high user adoption rates of features and functions at its heart. It presents a fully configurable, colored-coded window display onscreen that allows users to quickly select how data will be presented. Users can switch between sources by simply moving the mouse cursor from one window to another. This allows them to focus on the mission, not technology.

“The ADDERView CCS-MV 4224 is an ideal solution for operators working in complex, high-pressure, mission critical control rooms,” says Rafael Serrano, senior manager, control rooms, Adder. “Delivering vastly improved desktop ergonomics means an operator can quickly switch between sources for complete situational awareness, and without loss of concentration. E-Paper Display and color window borders with corresponding illuminated channels buttons combine to make it easier for users to make quick decisions and reduce errors. This combination can help organizations create a safer workplace, reduce workplace fatigue, improve productivity, and increase employee satisfaction.

The key features of the ADDERView CC-MV 4224 include:

  • Natural automatic switching between computers by pressing a key
  • Native 4K UHD video performance
  • Flexible screen configurations, including preset layouts, can be set up by the user
  • High speed USB 3.0 for peripherals
  • Analog analog bi-directional audio
  • Digital audio mixer
  • Copy and paste text from one computer to another
  • Enhanced connectivity options via hybrid dual DisplayPort(TM), HDMI ports
