Tribune News Service

Bathinda 21 January

Balbir Seechewal, Padma Shri winner and eco-activist, today appealed for all political parties to make environment part of their Assembly poll agenda.

He stated that it was sad that no party had ever discussed environmental issues in a press meeting here.

“Clean air is one of the basic human rights and we must work together to protect natural resources.” He said a group of environmentalists and religious leaders had formed the Punjab Vatavaran Chetna Leha, which had prepared a “green poll manifesto” to safeguard the environment.
