In recent years, the Trump and Biden administrations were both sued over the building of the border wall and the termination of the project. Environmental groups claimed that Trump’s wall was destroying wildlife habitats. When President Joe Biden took office, they promised to stop the wall. Conservative groups that advocate for lower levels of immigration also claimed that the decision was not properly assessed by environmental groups.
