Biogeochemical recycling has evolved through persistence-based selection

Model description

The model is a discrete-time, discrete-value stochastic Markov process. Tables 1 and 2, respectively, show parameters and variables. Both the time and the number individuals for each type can be constrained to integer values. Reproductive mutation and death are stochastic processes that can be derived from sampling from binomial distributions that are given by the relevant probabilities. All ensemble results show the 100-replicate average of the parameters in question.

Individuals from the same species can grow ({S}_
