Case: Discrimination/Hostile Work Environment (W.D. La.)

April 25, 2022, 6 :39 PM

Lake Area Physician Services LLC is entitled for summary judgment on the claims of a Black PRN radiology technologist of a hostile work environment and retaliation under Title VII of Civil Rights Act. She fired after she failed to secure a new position after reporting that a doctor had made insensitive remarks toward her. A Louisiana federal court ruled in her favor. Despite the fact that the technologist called the comments offensive and humiliating, a court ruled that an objective, reasonable individual would not consider them or their supervisors’ responses to her report to be severe or persistent enough to constitute hostile work environment.
