Topi Manner, Chief Executive of Finnair, stated on Friday that HELSINKI Finland’s national carrier Finnair would be emerging from the pandemic slump to a more normal business environment in second half of the year.

The Nordic airline is particularly concerned about Asian traffic recovery. This is despite the recent travel slump due to restrictions at the border.

Manner said that he is optimistic about summer and added that the airline expects countries such as South Korea and Japan to lift restrictions on travel to the Northern hemisphere during summer.

After the airline announced a 200-million euro investment in product overhaul, including a new premium economy and a redesigned cabin for business, he spoke. (Reporting by Anne Kauranen; Editing by Tim Hepher).
