Climate activists disrupt supplies from three Oil Terminals in England | Environmental activism

Clean energy campaigners claim to be able to disrupt supplies at three oil terminals located in the Midlands or south-east of England. As motorists complain about petrol stations running low on petrol and diesel, they claim to have dismantled these supplies.

The government claimed that only one terminal was unavailable for service on Sunday afternoon due to the Just Stop Oil protests. They also stated that local police forces were working closely with the industry to ensure fuel supplies can be maintained.

All supply points are currently operational, except one. This will allow deliveries to those sites that have experienced shortages, stated a spokesperson for the government.

FairFuelUK founder Howard Cox stated that he has been repeatedly bombarded with messages from garages across the country about the shortage of petrol or diesel stock.

Cox stated that the blockades by Just Stop Oil were responsible for the shortage. He accused campaigners, who he believes will save the world, of waging a futile crusade.

Caroline Lucas, Green party MP said that such disruptive protests were the only way people feel their voices can be heard.

Just Stop Oil stated on Sunday that activists were interrupting fuel supply points in Warwickshire and Hertfordshire.

According to the group, supporters dug a tunnel underneath a tanker route to Kingsbury terminal in Warwickshire. The tunnel was hidden by a modified caravan that was parked along the roadside. Just Stop Oil supporters surrounded it. According to the group, five people are still inside the caravan today working on the tunnel despite numerous police arrests.

40 campaigners gathered at Buncefield’s oil terminal in Hertfordshire at 2.30am and locked themselves inside, blocking the entrance. The action was then followed by another at Inter Terminals, Grays, Essex at 6.30 AM. There, 40 people swarmed in to the facility, climbed onto the loading bay pipework and locked themselves in, they claimed.

The group stated that it is likely that this morning’s actions will continue to have a significant impact on fuel availability at petrol stations across the south-east, Midlands and Midlands. It was demanding that the UK government stop new oil and gas projects in the UK.

A spokesperson for the government said that protests at oil terminals have caused short-term disruptions in fuel deliveries in recent days. Local police are working with the industry in order to ensure fuel supplies can be maintained.

Extinction Rebellion climate activists gathered in London Sunday for eight days’ resistance. They pledged that they would block areas of the city as long as possible every single day for at most a week and the next three weekends.

Lucas stated in an interview on BBC One’s Sunday Morning that he was sorry about the situation and that this is the only means people have to make their voices heard.

She said: “I think that being out on the streets of London has been proven to be a way to capture peoples imaginations.” People have joined the protests without ever protesting before. They do it because they are aware that we must leave fossil fuels behind.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the IPCC has been updated. [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change]The report states that this government and this energy strategy are planning to extract more oil and gas from North Sea. This is both immoral and economically insane, according to the UN general secretary.
