CNHi UAW Members Strike for a Higher Standard of Living, Retirement Benefits, and a Better Work Environment

Racine, WI, Burlington IAUAW CNHi members strike at noon May 2, after the company failed present an agreement that satisfied member demands and needs.

CNHi’s members are on strike to secure a decent living, dignity retirement and fair work rules. Chuck Browning is Vice President and Director of the UAWs Agricultural Implement Department. We will not stop bargaining until the members’ goals are met.

Ray Curry, President of the UAW, stated that the nearly one million UAW members who are retired and active stand in solidarity with striking workers at CNHi. Curry stated that all UAW members stand united with the striking workers at CNHi.

Curry pointed out that UAW CNHi members worked through the pandemic, even though they were not considered essential by the company, to produce the equipment that fuels America’s economy, feeds America, and builds America. They are a united union voice at the picket line and can make an impact on working families in this country and elsewhere.

Pickets were set up by more than 1,000 members of CNHi locations in Racine (WI) and Burlington (IA). Ron McInroy, director, UAW Region 4, said that our members are united and ready to fight for a contract that meets their needs. Our members and their families are grateful for the community support they have received. Strikes can be difficult, but the fight for better working conditions is worth it.
