Urban farming is a way for people to connect with the Earth. It has amazing benefits for the whole community and planet. Giving back to the earth can improve your physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Well-cultivated soil can improve your health and give you more energy. Restoring harmony with the Earth and understanding that love is what you get out of farming, as well as in all aspects of life, is key to farming.
I encourage everyone to take part in urban farming to experience the benefits firsthand.
Volunteering at a local farm is another great option. Volunteering at a local farm is a great way to learn and will be a huge help. We can build a closer relationship with mother nature by moving in harmony with the earth, creating more urban farms, and observing her work.
Although it takes effort, small changes can make all the difference. It takes small changes like eating more whole foods from local farms, buying seeds and soil, and learning how to grow. It is important to learn why organic and local food is so important.
These small steps, when combined with enthusiasm and real effort, can really make a difference in your life. Urban farming has allowed me to see the world in a new way. It has also changed my outlook.

This earth is truly a masterpiece. It is powerful and yet so valuable. It is both vast and mysterious, yet cozy and comforting. Living in harmony with the Earth opens us up to a new way for living. The earth is naturally rich, one seed can grow into many fruits that contain hundreds of seeds. This exponential growth leads me to believe that humans living in harmony and abundance with the earth can achieve a great level.
Living in harmony with the earth is one of the reasons why many communities struggle and lack resources. We have caused such a disconnect in our relationship with nature that we have lost touch our roots. This has led us to forget the most fundamental aspect of life: when you take care and nurture the earth, it will give back ten-fold. You reap what you sow.
Our disconnection with the earth has created a person who is ‘everyman for himself’ and leads us to look outside for nourishment, when all true nutrients can be found in the soil.
It is possible to reap enormous benefits by taking the time to observe Mother Nature and working in harmony with her. This is why urban farming is so important to me.
