Conservative staffers at Disney — yes, they do exist — have issued an open letter as their liberal co-workers stage a walkout over Floridas Parental Rights in Education bill.
Published Monday, first reported by The Daily Wire, the letter says that Disney has created a hostile workplace by embracing a “political agenda.”
Disney has come to be an increasingly uncomfortable place to work for those of us whose political and religious views are not explicitly progressive,” the letter states.
Over the past few months, we have observed our leadership condemning policies and laws that we support. Our colleagues, convinced they can be right, have grown more assertive in their demands. They insist that TWDC be incorporated. [The Walt Disney Company]Take a strong position on this issue as well as other legislation and openly advocate the punishment for employees who disagree with it.
Conservative staffers must watch as their bosses make fun of Republican leaders.
The backstory behind the walkout is that CEO Bob Chapek is afraid of losing his job because he didn’t initially take a stance against the bill. Chapek has since apologized, and thus is now allowing Disney to become the face of the resistance against the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
Woke Disney employees are also demanding that the company permanently cut off donations to lawmakers who support the parental rights bill, and they’ve asked Disney to stop relocating employees to Florida.
Disney conservatives admit to fearing retaliation from the company after the planned walkout
A few months ago, an internal poll was sent asking for feedback on how comfortable we felt being accepted by the company. We were concerned that the poll results could be used against us to target us for holding a position that is not in line with the progressive orthodoxy that Disney promotes. Many of us didn’t complete it due to the nature of the questions. TWDC has created an environment where employees fear being exposed and fired if they don’t follow the rules.
While much has been said about our internal efforts to Reimagine Tomorrow’s success, it seems that the future being reimagined doesn’t have much room for religious and political conservatives. Left-leaning cast members have the freedom to promote their agendas and organize on company time, using company resources. They call their fellow employees bigots, and press TWDC for corporate influence to advance their left-wing legislative goals.
So much for inclusion.
Keep in mind, the authors of the letter are not asking Disney to embrace a right-wing ideology but to be “politically neutral.” What an egregious Request. How dare these rebel staffers ask a children’s entertainment company to stay out of politics?
It’s doubtful that much will come of this letter. Disney even proudly supports third grader grooming.
I’m sure there are many more hateful people at work than these Disney progressives. However, none of these people come to mind at the moment.
