A West Virginia agency is accepting nominations for the Teacher of the Year award for environmental leadership.
The deadline to apply for Make It Shine Environmental Teachers of the Year awards is February 14, 2014. The state Department of Environmental Protection will award the awards.
Teachers in elementary, middle, and high schools will each be awarded a $500 award and a $1,000 award to encourage science, technology engineering, and math programs at their schools.
