Dehradun: Uttarakhand chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Bhupendra Yadav (Union minister for environment, forests, and climate change) discussed projects related to Himalayan state. DehradunFriday
During the meeting at the CM’s residence, CM urged minister to issue No Objection Certificates (and other clearances) for pending forest-related project. The CM was assured by the Union minister that all pending issues would soon be resolved. They also discussed the ongoing issue regarding forest fires in Uttarakhand, and the current efforts (and those needed) to stop them.
Yadav called Uttarakhand, “Dev Bhoomi”, while stating that the hill state is both a major centre of faith and important from an environmental point of view. The minister stated that he also discussed matters related to forests, the environment, with officers from Dehradun’s Forest Research Institute. In another meeting, he mentioned that Project Elephant and the CAMPA Fund were also discussed. Yadav stated that the Centre would provide all possible assistance to Uttarakhand regarding forest and environmental-related issues.
