Dominion Energy donates $1.5M for Environmental Education and Stewardship Initiatives

RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 25, 2022/PRNewswire/ The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation was recently awarded $1.5 millionIn environmental stewardship grants, to support 115 community organizations in 10 States working to create cleaner, greener environments and teach citizens to better care of the outdoors.

These grants are awarded to education and stewardship projects that enhance, preserve, or make nature more accessible. Some grants for this year include:

  • Audubon South CarolinaProject PROTHO Charleston, SCSupport avian conservation research and outreach efforts related to Prothonotary Warbler nesting and breeding habits at Audubon Center, Sanctuary at Francis Beidler Forest.
  • Youth Garden Project’s 2022 Youth Programs, Moab (UT)to teach sustainable agriculture techniques and environmental lessons. To foster connections with each other and the environment. Moab community.
  • Blue Sky Fund’s Explorers Program Richmond, VA To provide ongoing nature-based education to more than 2,500 elementary students through hands-on outdoor experiences.
