Environment Agency states that there is no serious threat to the environment at city beauty spot despite reports of sewage stink.

There is no significant risk to the environment. PeterboroughBeauty spot despite concerns about the water quality.

Last week Werrington councillor John FoxCuckoos Hollow water was said to have turned milky-cloudy and had a stench of sewage.

Werrington’s Cuckoos Hollow Lake

The agency has now visited the pond to collect samples. While they have not yet identified the cause, they stated that there was no risk to the health of the fish.

A spokesperson for Environment Agency said that water samples were taken from Cuckoos hollow lake near Peterborough following reports of possible contamination. They found no significant environmental risk.
