Environment Canada calls for significant snowfall tonight

Muskoka has a special weather advisory.

Environment Canada warns that snow could be heavy tonight.

Significant snowfall will be brought to southern Ontario by a low pressure system that tracks south of the Great Lakes. Although the snowfall amounts are not known, there is some uncertainty. However, heavy snowfall may occur at times and could impact travel Monday. Also, blowing snow can be expected Monday afternoon and evening due to gusty northerly or northwesterly winds.
A total snowfall accumulation of 5-15 cm is possible. Wind gusts up to 60 km/h can sometimes cause local blowing snow.
Sometimes, snowfall can be very heavy, which could reduce visibility.
