Environment Canada confirms avian flu in wild birds in St. John's area

Environment Canada has confirmed the presence of the highly pathogenic avian flu in wild birds in the St. John’s area, including Bowring Park, Quidi Vidi Lake and other areas frequented by flocks of birds.

The City of St. John’s is asking residents torefrain from feeding, touching or handling wild birds including ducks, pigeons and gulls.
