Environment Canada has released a special weather prediction that for Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon, there will be a mix of winter weather. It includes 10-25 millimetres of rain Wednesday night through Thursday morning.

Freezing rain with snow is possible Thursday morning/afternoon.

According to the statement, a low-pressure system is expected to track northeast over Lake Erie and Lake Ontario Thursday evening. This will bring a mess of wintry precipitation into southern Ontario.

Environment Canada warns of road closures and power outages through Friday morning, when stormy weather is expected.

The special weather declaration is in effect for most areas of Southern Ontario, including Windsor and Essex County.
