Winter weather travel advisory in force

Hazards:
Heavy snow can sometimes be accompanied by snowfall accumulations of up to 5 cm.
Local blowing snow

When:
From the early hours of the morning to the middle of the afternoon.

Discussion:
A low pressure centre is bringing snow to the region. It will end around mid-afternoon. Snowfall can cause disruptions to morning commutes.

Impacts:

Winter driving conditions can be dangerous for motorists. Make sure to adjust your travel plans accordingly. Poor weather conditions can cause delays in transportation. If visibility is reduced while driving slow down, be aware of tail lights ahead, and be ready to stop. The accumulation of snow can make it difficult to navigate surfaces such as roads, walkways, parking lots, and highways. In heavy snowfall, visibility may be reduced suddenly. This could have a significant effect on urban rush hour traffic.
