Climate activists have deflated SUV tyres in London’s wealthiest postcodes in protest against the emission from such vehicles.

Around 40 SUV-owning residents in Kensington and Chelsea, Dulwich and Primrose Hill, Marylebone, Primrose Hills, Primrose Hill, and Marylebone awoke to find their tyres flat. They were also presented with fake parking fines that informed them that SUV drivers would be ranked seventh in CO2 emissions in 2018.

Chelsea tractors are often called Chelsea tractors because they are ubiquitous in well-off urban areas.

Recent research found that three quarters of the 360,000 SUVs in the UK sold in 2019 were purchased by people who live in cities and towns. The top three districts for large SUV sales are the royal boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea. In Kensington and Chelsea, there were more Range Rovers than anywhere else. One in ten new cars registered in the borough belonged to the Land Rover brand of SUV.

The Dulwich Society, which represents the interests local residents in the leafy suburb Dulwich condemned the act. A spokesperson stated that several cars were vandalized in Dulwich last evening with their tyres flattened and this poster placed on their windscreens. Although we are environmentally conscious, this is not our community.

However, activists claimed that the tyres had been blown off without any damage and that the action was necessary in order to educate vehicle owners about the harmful effects of large cars on fossil fuels.

They also pointed out that diesel and petrol SUVs are available. A medium-sized car produces 25% less CO2 in averageThey are much more dangerous. SUVs are more likely than cars to cause pedestrian deaths in crashes, and the drivers of them are 11% More people are likely to be killed in a crash than in normal cars.

Last Gasp spokesperson said that they had disarmed these SUVs as they were a growing and unnecessary part of the system that is destroying us. A planet-destroying SUV is not something anyone needs. An SUV is a luxury, and it can have terrifying consequences for the planet if you drive it in an urban area that has good public transport. SUVs can cause lung damage, death, and carbon dioxide emissions that could lead to a climate of global collapse. We recommend that you do not own an SUV if your tyres are at risk. We are not going to stop, and many other people will follow our lead.

We wish we had more effective ways to defend ourselves. But luxury emissions must stop immediately. If you spend an afternoon studying the science, it will become clear that people must act now to protect life itself.
