The Whitley Fund for NatureWe will award seven grassroots wildlife conservationists Whitley awards for their innovative solutions to the biodiversity crisis.
Dr Charudutt Mishra will receive the Whitley gold award, valued at 100,000, for his innovative work over 25-years.
Each of the other award winners will receive 40,000 to help them accelerate their progress on-the ground. This has reduced poaching, restored habitat, and recovered populations essential for functional ecosystems.
