Environment Ministry attends seminars regarding climate change

Doha: The Department of Climate Change represented Ministry of Environment and Climate Change at seminars and informal presentations by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change via video communications technology.

These events were designed to review the outline for a report for policymakers. They also shared the climate-resilient adaptation, development options contained within the Sixth Assessment Report by the relevant Working Group II and collective work in this area.

Participants also shared their views and observations. Discussions were held with the authors and experience was exchanged before the official meetings to approve and document the summary.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is based in Geneva, Switzerland. It was established in 1988 to provide comprehensive assessments on the state of scientific and technical understanding of climate change.
