On Tuesday, the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources hosted PPIYCD (Public-Priate Initiative on Youth and Community Development), a Non-Governmental Organization based in Karu. The purpose of this collaboration is to promote healthy environmental practices in Karu and other areas.

The partnership will include community mobilization as well as awareness creation to promote positive attitudes in public environmental management among residents.

The discussion highlighted the rapid growth of Karu as a settlement and the lack of awareness about environmental issues. Commissioner for Environment
