LOS ANGELES – Exotic dancers in North Hollywood quit their job Friday night, claiming that the work environment was unsafe.
Star Garden Topless dive-bar was empty as several dancers protested Friday’s management.
Dancer Antonia Crane says the industry has gotten a lot harder in the past few years and management hasn’t helped.
“Basically if you breathe in the general direction of management you’re fired,” she stated.
After raising concerns about a customer’s security, one dancer was recently fired.
“I was mocked, made fun of by both the security guard and the manager on duty. Reagan said that they made jokes about how I was going be killed by this customer.

She loves her job, but she says that extra pressure makes it more difficult.
“The reality is that dancers in California are really oppressed by the system and are looking for a way out and it’s a very desperate culture right now in the strip clubs.”
They claim that the walkout is huge for them as well as other entertainers who may not be aware of their rights.
Contact was made with management but has not been returned to FOX 11.
