The 10-day exhibition, dubbed Go Nature, Go Exhibition at Alliance Francaise, will feature around 20 local artists.

The exhibition will be hosted by George Mgona Arts for Conservation Trust (GMAC Trust), and will feature artists from painters, stone-sculptors, guitarists to poets to photographers.

George Mgona (founder member of the Turst) spoke to The Herald Arts and said that everything was ready for the show’s debut today.

He said that the show was part in the promotion of visual artists and that it was a return leg to Harare since last year, it was hosted at Bulawayo.

Mgona stated that it is all systems are working.

We are ready and I am pleased that the 20 confirmed artists have started putting together their artwork for exhibition.

Last October, we hosted a similar show at Bulawayo. It had the same theme, Go Nature, Go Exhibition. The selected artistes were expected present their work based on this theme.

Mgona stated that the exhibition was meant to raise awareness about conserving wildlife and the environment.

He stated that the official opening took place today and that all guests had confirmed their participation.

Our guest of honor is Dorris Tom, Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Agency manager for National Community Conservation.

We are urging the community to take care today of their environment so it can take care tomorrow.

We believe that the future does not exist in a box we can walk into but is something we create.

There are many environmental disasters, including climate change, soil erosion, and environmental degradation. These are all caused by human behavior towards the environment.

We believe in the education of good natural resource management for our children of tomorrow.
