For a drug-free environment on campus, body was created

PESHAWAR: Speakers asked students to refrain from using drugs in order to maintain a healthy academic career. They also advocated for a drug-free campus.

The annual golden evening event was organized under the auspices Students Literary Society (SLS), Peshawar Public School & College. Students and senior faculty members attended this event.

To ensure that students and teachers participate in co-curricular activities, four student societies were established.

Senior faculty members will patronize Students Anti-drugs Society and Students Scientific Society. Students Literary Society (SLS), Students Scientific Society and Students Sports Society would also be supported. This is to encourage students to take part in positive activities on campus.

Vice-principal Prof Sultan Khattak addressed the gathering and said that students should be involved in healthy academic, literary, and cultural events to ensure a bright future and a safe career.

He was very pleased with the students’ performance and encouraged them to avoid drug use and to engage in reading, exercise, and other activities to reduce stress. As a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication to their progress, students presented commendation shields at their senior teachers. The awards were received by 44 teachers. Social media sensation Munir bunir read his poetry and received thunderous applause.

The Vice President also distributed shields and awards to outgoing students for outstanding academic performance during their stay at the institution.

Later, students performed various activities such as humorous sketches, poetry recitals and tableau, as well traditional Pashto songs and traditional Pashto tanr.
