FuelPositive Announces Appointment of Environmental Scientist Dr. Claudia Wagner-Riddle as Agriculture Sector Advisor

TORONTO, Dec. 20, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — FuelPositive Corporation (TSX.V : NHHH) [OTCQB : NHHHF](FuelPositive, or the Company) is pleased announce Dr. Claudia Wagner–Riddle, a University of Guelph Professor, is the Company’s new Agriculture Advisor. FuelPositives’ lead technology is modular and scalable and can be used in a wide range of industries and applications. The agriculture sector uses about 80% of the traditional or grey ammonia produced from fossil fuels. Primarily, it is used as fertilizer. FuelPositive’s first plan is to transition away from the grey ammonia supply chain, which is extremely problematic and exploitative.

We believe that the best way of delivering excellence is to invite exceptional people to join us, stated Ian Clifford, CEO and Chairman of FuelPositive Board. We are thrilled to have Dr. WagnerRiddle as an advisor, as we build our green ammonia manufacturing systems to help farmers reduce carbon footprints and manage their fertilizer and fuel supplies. Her knowledge of the environmental impact of farming and the effects of climate change on farming has already helped us make the right decisions to maximize the benefit for farmers.

Dr. Claudia Wagner Riddle is a Professor at the School of Environmental Sciences (SES) University of Guelph in Canada. Claudia, originally from Brazil, holds degrees from the University of Sao Paulo (and Guelph). Claudia leads an internationally-renowned research program utilizing the measurement of greenhouse gas emissions to determine the carbon footprint of food, feed and fuel produced by agriculture. Claudia is currently involved in several projects that examine how soil health impacts ecosystem services. This includes a $2 million infrastructure project that uses a large-scale soil weighing system. Claudia is a fellow of The Soil Science Society of America and the American Meteorological Society. She is also a member of the Canadian Society of Agricultural and Forest Meteorology. She is also the Editor-in Chief of the international journal Agricultural and Forest Meteorology and coordinates a national program for climate-smart land. Claudia was recently appointed Director for the North American chapter of the International Nitrogen Initiative. She was also awarded the 2020 IFA Borlaug Excellence in Crop Nutrition Award. Dr. Wagner – Riddle has published more 160 papers and has an overall h-index (Google Scholar) of 45.

More information about Dr. Wagner, including affiliations and partnerships, awards, honours, and awards, can be found here Here. Her publications are listed in full here Here.

FuelPositive, a young Canadian company with innovative technologies and products, is a pleasure to work with. We share the same passion for reducing our carbon footprint. I am thrilled that my experience will be of direct benefit to the FuelPositive team as they begin to market their green ammonia production system. Dr. Wagner Riddle stated that we aim to hear farmers concerns and work with FuelPositive so they can adapt their farming practices in order to use the new technology. This could give farmers more control and certainty than ever before.

FuelPositive is currently constructing its first full-sized green-ammonia production units and expects to launch a number real world pilot projects in 2022. Dr. Wagner-Riddle assists the Company in identifying its first pilot project partners.

The initial FuelPositive systems are capable of producing up to 300 kilos (550 litres) per day of green anhydrous ammonia, which is approximately 100 tonnes per annum. Farms that require more ammonia can simply increase their production capacity. FuelPositives’ modular, portable and scalable green ammonia production units make this easy.

About FuelPositive

FuelPositive, a Canadian technology company in growth, is committed to commercially viable, sustainable cradle-to-cradle clean technology solutions. This includes green ammonia (NH3) for use in a wide range of industries and applications.

By focusing on technologies that are clean and economically advantageous/realizable, the Company aims to change the course of climate change through practical solutions that can be implemented now.

The Company’s core technology is a modular and scalable green-ammonia system that takes air, electricity, and water and makes it into a nonpolluting chemical suitable for multiple applications. This includes fertilizer for agriculture, fuel for internal combustion engines, as well as a solution for grid storage. Green ammonia has been proposed as a substitute for fossil fuels as well as as a key enabler in the hydrogen economy.

The FuelPositive System has several key benefits:

  • Stable, predictable, and highly affordable cost that is significantly lower than current prices of grey ammonia.

  • Independence from the fluctuating supply chain for grey ammonia today.

  • On-site production and use of a sustainable, carbon-free, and green form ammonia.

  • Farmers have the potential to use their own green ammonia fertilizer and to expand their sources of combustion fuel to replace fossil fuels in their grain drying and internal combustion engine equipment like tractors and combine.
