Ghana: ‘Cultivate more Gardens to Protect the Environment’

Egypt: The Third International Scientific Conference On Environment and Sustainable Development 'Climate Change - Challenges and Confrontation'

The Ghana Garden and Flower Movement has urged Ghanaians to plant more gardens to preserve the environment and protect their health.

The movement is an initiative by Strategic Communications Africa Limited (Stratcomm Africa), a market communication agency. It was established in 2013.

The call was made to mark the World Health Day, which was celebrated yesterday under the title “Our planet our Health.” It was intended to draw attention to urgent issues facing humanity and the planet and encourage societies to prioritize our well-being.

This statement was issued by the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement and was copied to Accra’s Ghanaian Times yesterday.

According to the statement the World Health Day’s topic was in line with the movement’s goal of promoting a “greener,” cleaner, more healthy, wealthier, and a more beautiful Ghana.

According to the World Health Organisation, (WHO), the statement stated that 13 million people die each year from preventable environmental causes.

“This includes climate crisis, which is the single greatest health threat facing humanity. According to it, the climate crisis is also a crisis of health.

According to the movement, this was one of its reasons for promoting activities such as the Ghana Garden and Flower Show which encouraged individuals and communities take responsibility for the environment.
