Gov. Gov.| Indiana 105 | THE Country Station from Chicago to South Bend

Eric Holcomb, the Indiana Governor, recently announced a new program for collecting and disposing of hazardous firefighting foam. This foam contains a chemical contaminant known to be PFAS. All fire departments across Indiana can register for this free program on the Indiana Department of Homeland Security site. Approximately 200 have already signed up to participate. This partnership between the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) and Indiana Department of Environmental Management makes Indiana one of a few states that have a PFAS foam disposal plan. Indiana law banned the use of PFAS foam in training for 2020. HereFor more information, click here
