Dubai (UAE), December 26, (ANI/PNN), Viral Desai (surat’s prominent industrialist, known for his love of the environment as Greenman), has been awarded the prestigious Global Environment and Climate Action Citizen Award. Viral Desai was among the other winners and was presented with the Bharat Gaurav Saman by Sanskruti Yava Sansthan. The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Awad Mohamed Mugrin, Director-General of UAE’s Foreign Trade And Economic Development Department.
There were 28 other notable personalities from 11 countries that were honored with the prestigious awards, but Viral desai was the only Indian to receive the honour for climate action. Other awardees included motivational speaker Padma Shri Gaur Gopaldas and polo player Ashvini Kumar Sharma. Akshaya Patra Foundation’s chairman Padma Shri Madhu Pandit Dasa, instrumentalist Padma Bhushan Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. Padma Shri Ramkishore Chhipa. Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi, Saket Mishra, an investor banker, and others.
“Service to nature can take you anywhere. Only we need to believe in nature and make every effort to preserve it. Viral Desai stated that the rest will happen on its own. “This is my third international award for conservation of environment. It will motivate me to continue my efforts in this cause. He added that he was thankful to Pandit Suresh Mishra Ji, Bharat Gaurav Saman, and Pandit Suresh Mishra Ji for choosing me worthy of this honour.
It is remarkable that Viral desai accepted the award wearing the traditional Gandhi cap with Indian attire. Viral Desai interacted with the award winners and other visitors to the station and asked for information about the transformation of Surat’s Udhna Railway station, which he adopted and made the most green railway station in India.
