Guidelines for updating Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), to help integrate environmental concerns into development plans

Peter Burke, TD, Minister of Planning and Local Government at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, has published updated Strategic Environmental Assessment Guidelines (SEA) guidelines to assist planners in executing efficient and effective SEAs. These guidelines will assist local authorities in integrating environmental issues into Development Plans. They will also contribute to achieving national sustainable development goals. This is important in the contexts of international and national action against climate change, biodiversity loss, and other threats.
