Half measures in One Health fail people or the environment

We applaud this month’s joint statement on a shared definition for One Health from UN Environment Programme and Tripartite collaboration between agencies (see below). go.nature.com/3dnnpb5). It aims to integrate recognition of the interdependence among human, animal, environmental health. Too many national, regional, and international bodies continue to compartmentalize their responses to public health crises in ways that are contrary to the One Health goal.
