Helicopter filming environment series may harm wildlife

The Virginia Key Advisory Board is concerned by a plan by TV film crews to use a helicopter on the island for several days. The Miami City Commission will be reviewing the matter today (2/10).

Mayor Francis Suarez proposes a resolution asking the commission to allow Proximity Productions LLC film on Virginia Key starting February 16. If the resolution is approved, the city manager will be authorized to negotiate documents that permit filming.
