Here’s who damages our local environment – Chico Enterprise-Record

I promised myself I was retired from wasting my time in this forum, but Patrick Newman’s comments are just outrageous, and someone needs to say so.

His recent letter compares keeping junkies off city plazas for a few months to the holocaust. I won’t touch that. I will let readers decide. He later explains how Earth Day is bitter irony and the many ways that we can save the environment if we all listen to him. Wake up call buddy, your “friends on the street” are literally destroying our environment right in front of your eyes. Take a stroll around the once beautiful parks, creeks and rivers that have now become garbage dumps. Patrick, stop lecturing about yourself. You are not Mother Teresa. You allow junkies to continue being junkies. That is nothing to be proud about.
