How a pro athlete used his platform as a means to raise awareness about environmental justice.

It is not an accident that toxic waste and factories are built close to communities of color and poor communities. It is part of a larger system of racism that exists all around the globe. For a long time, those most affected by environmental threats were largely absent from the larger conversation. One environmental activist is working to change all of that. Ovie Mughelli, an ex-NFL player, is using his love of comic books and sports to help create the next generation environmentally-conscious superheroes.
