I am an engineer. I started my career as an assistant trainee of science at ISRO. I used to teach maths to class XII and Class XII students. I didn’t know I would one day be a gaming caster. I was making video-related videos about gaming and teaching people about it when I received a call from officials. They heard me and decided it was the perfect voice for a caster. That was the start of my journey. I too began to learn, cast, and commentaries.
A good caster must be skilled at using words and how to present themselves to others. Each detail is important and you need to be able to see it all.
Shroud, a Canadian YouTuber is someone I look up to. He knows every game and is an expert in all aspects of it. If we are talking about Indian gamers, I look up at ‘Mortal’ and ‘Triggered Indisaan’.
First viral video
The aim assist video was one of my first viral contents. I was teaching how you can play aim assist. It garnered more than 2 million views, which gave me the motivation to share my knowledge with others. My parents have always supported my career choices. They know it’s great money and that I am happy with what I do, which makes them happy.
My only problem is that sometimes tournaments don’t happen. I have to analyse them. It is difficult to brainstorm when nothing is happening. It’s a challenge, but I love it because it helps me to see the situation from a different perspective and offers solutions. I want to create a gaming culture that lasts for many years, not just for a few decades. People will remember me because of this.
Poetry and Creativity are Important in Game Casting
The role of a gaming caster is to be able to comprehend the game’s events, add poetry to it, and then present it to the audience in a creative way. A commentary made with poetry and wordplay is 10 times more entertaining than a normal one. Gaming casters have a lot to learn with so many new games and tournaments.
BGMI is my favorite game because it has shaped me into who I am today. I am grateful to the game, the community, and all that it offers.
I would like to open two schools, one online, and one offline. I also want to host a podcast, and Lex Fridman (computer science) would be a good guest.
