Grab your hard hat, we’re disassembling electronics with the team from RecycleForce today as part of our month-long celebration of Earth Day.

Crista Carlino (director of development & communication) and Rob Smith (warehouse manager) joined us Monday to discuss the importance of recycling electronic waste. They also shared how RecycleForce ensures data destruction, how to prepare items for recycling, and how you can get your electronics to RecycleForce.

All Marion County residents can bring their electronic items to Krannert Park on Saturday, April 23rd in honor of Earth Day. The drop-off location is at Krannert Park between 9am and 2pm. Freon-containing items, such as refrigerators and air conditioners, will not be accepted at the event. However, they can be brought to RecycleForce at 1255 Roosevelt Avenue, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The event’s goal is to educate the community about how businesses and individuals can ensure that their electronic waste is recycled with RecycleForce’s Earth Day Heroes.
