Learn more about the City of Evanstons Environment Board

Zoom will provide more information about the Environment Board Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 7 p.m.

Evanstons Environment Board (11 members) is charged with supporting Evanstons environmental goals. These include reducing and mitigating the impacts of climate change, increasing resource efficiency, and protecting and restoring natural ecosystems. The board investigates issues and makes recommendations to City Council and other Boards and Commissions.

Wendy Pollock and Cherie L. Fischer, co-chairs of Evanston Environment Board, will discuss: What attracted them to serving on a city commission or board, how they were elected, and what they enjoy about the work; who sets the agenda; what are the Board’s key issues; and what the Environment Board is doing in implementing CARP.
