REGION E. Saffronia Downing is an artist and researcher who will be investigating the effects of Maine’s pulp &paper industry on social and ecological landscapes. This project will tell Maine’s paper-stories through oral history and environmental storytelling.

Colby College Museum of Arts Lunder Institute for American Art and Colbys Buck Lab for Climate and Environment are collaborating to bring together a variety of perspectives from paper-mill workers and engineers, foresters and loggers, ecologists, and other land practitioners.
