Mad Engine Global launches a new take back program to promote apparel upcycling and reduce end of life impact on the environment

IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mad Engine Global, a portfolio company of Platinum Equity, is excited to announce on Earth Day 2022 (April 22, 2022) it is rolling out its new Mad Engine Takeback Program. Many estimates suggest that up to 85 percent of clothing ends in landfills or incinerators, which can have a negative impact on the environment. Mad Engine is committed in responding to this growing concern. The Mad Engine Takeback ProgramCustomers will be able to return their apparel products to be recycled into insulation for cars and houses, or stuffing for furniture or sport equipment. This will significantly reduce the environmental impact of apparel products and help to alleviate our overburdened landfills.

Mad Engine will launch the program through its global brands Neff, and LRG. All Neff and LRG customers can access their respective websites to find out how to return their branded tops. Mad Engine will offer customers attractive discounts on their next purchase to encourage them to return product. Mad Engine will then recycle the product with their partners, reducing environmental impact. Although this is a major step forward, it is only the beginning.
